Train
At Aigle, change to Champéry. Timetable on www.cff.ch.
The train terminus is at the cable car station. Simply change platform and transfer your luggage in the Plein Ciel container.
Car
From Switzerland: From Montreux head Martigny Grand St Bernard. Then follow Monthey and head Champéry through Trois Torrents and Val d’Illiez.
From France: From Evian head Monthey where you will find the direction of Champéry.
Airplane
International flights to/from Geneva airport, located 2h from the hotel.
In the airport, take the train to Aigle and change to Champéry.
Cable car
Cable car to Planachaux from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
When check in, don't forget to mention that you are a Hotel Plein Ciel's customer. During low season, you will benefit a discount on individual public prices. You will also be charged in terms of the lump sum you applied.
Luggage & arrival times
From 10.30 am to 4.00 pm at Cable car station
One of our team members will welcome you at the back of the cable car station (little rack train platform). Car access is tolerated through the slope on the right side of the building for unloading purposes. Put your luggage into the containers on wheels marked PLEIN CIEL. It will be transported by cableway in the late afternoon up to La Croix de Culet. From there, we will take care of luggage transport to Plein Ciel, around 6:00 pm at the hotel ski-room. Please keep your ski equipment with you, so as to be able to reach the hotel.
As all of these operations will be realized manually: we will not take care of any suitcases that are too heavy (+ 20 kg) and/or too large, little plastic bags and various loose objects.
After 4.00 pm
You will need to take your luggage with you in the cable car cabin. When you arrive at the top, you must leave them at the exit of the cable car station. We will take care of the transport to the hotel. Therefore, it is essential that you warn us if you will be arriving late.
After 5.00 pm
The hotel is no longer accessible until the next morning.
We advise you to plan your arrival at Champéry not later than 3:00 pm, taking into account the winter weather conditions and the fact that the roads may be congested on Saturdays. As a matter of fact, when you arrive too late, you will be forced to stay in the village, at your own expenses. Check out the weather before you go on www.meteosuisse.ch
Very important basic information!
- Plein Ciel is a mountain hotel, access to which may be peculiar and in some circumstances difficult.
- We are not authorized to transport people from the cable car station to the hotel. Access is only possible on skis or on foot (in the snow).
